Saudi citizen penalized for encroaching on archaeological site

DAMMAM — The Criminal Court in the Eastern Province issued a ruling to impose fine on a Saudi citizen for violating the Law of Antiquities, Museums and Urban Heritage.

The Heritage Commission arrested the citizen for violating the law by encroaching on the Al-Duwaimin 3 archaeological site in Al-Nairyah governorate in the Eastern Province. He was referred to the Public Prosecution and the legal procedures were taken against him leading to the court verdict.
