Singer-songwriter will do a short run of “museums and special places” across the U.S. this winter
Lucy Dacus will be playing her first solo shows in more than two years in the new year. Dacus had previously spent most of 2023 on tour with Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker as part of supergroup boygenius.
Dacus’ four city tour will take place over one week in February, with the singer performing in “museums and special places.” In her announcement for the upcoming shows, she promised it will be “mostly new songs.” She is distributing tickets through a lottery system in order to give her fans a “fair chance.” The lottery will open on Dec. 19 at noon EST.
Dacus’ last solo album was 2021’s Home Video. In 2023, she and her group boygenius released their debut studio album, The Record, and the Rolling Stone cover stars followed it up with the EP, The Rest. Earlier this year, the group (and Dacus) won their first Grammy Awards, for Best Alternative Music Album, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance. The latter two were for the single “Not Strong Enough.”
