How to Watch Tim Robinson Show
“Detroiters,” the beloved cult comedy series from Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson, is coming to Netflix on Oct. 15.
Both seasons of the Michigan-based sitcom will be available to stream on the platform in the U.S., Variety has confirmed. The series has been previously available to watch on Comedy Central and Paramount+.
“Detroiters” debuted in February 2017 on Comedy Central and ran for two 10-episode seasons before the network canceled it in December 2018. It starred Richardson and Robinson as best friends and neighbors Sam Duvet and Tim Cramblin, who work together at an advertising agency producing low-budget television commercials. Richardson and Robinson created the show with Zach Kanin and Joe Kelly.
The sitcom filmed on location in Detroit, the hometown of both Richardson and Robinson and where both of the comedians got their start at Second City. After the show ended, Robinson and Kanin went on to create the absurdist sketch comedy series “I Think You Should Leave” for Netflix. Richardson, who had already had recurring roles on “Veep” and “The Office,” went on to star in “The Afterparty,” “The Tomorrow War” and “Werewolves Within.” Richardson, Robinson and Kanin have all won Emmys in the years following “Detroiters.”
Lorne Michaels, Jason Sudeikis, Kanin, Joe Kelly and Andrew Singer executive produced “Detroiters,” which was produced by Comedy Central, Broadway Video and Central Production. Other than Richardson and Robinson, the show starred Lailani Ledesma as Lea, Pat Vern Harris as Sheila Portnadi, Mort Crim as himself, Andre Belue as Tommy Pencils and Shawntay Dalon as Chrissy Cramblin.
