Kazakhstan’s IT sector is growing rapidly, with the Astana Hub playing a key role. Supporting more than 1,500 companies, the hub is a hotbed of innovation.

Arlan Biotech is one of the start-ups supported. It uses AI to speed up antibody discovery and aims to revolutionise drug development. Autism Spectrum is another; it is developing an app to help diagnose and support children with autism and is already testing the app in hospitals.

Encouraged by programmes such as Google for Startups, IT exports exceed $700 million, according to Minister Zhaslan Madiyev. Residents of the Astana Hub export to nearly 90 countries, driving Kazakhstan’s economic diversification.
