Following the deadly collapse of a train station canopy in Serbia, thousands of people took to the streets to demand the resignation of top officials, accusing them of poor management.
Protesters gathered in front of the station in Novi Sad and observed a minute of silence while organisers read the names of the 14 victims.
The demonstration, which began peacefully, later escalated as angry protesters hurled bottles and bricks at the Serbian Progressive Party headquarters and sprayed red paint on posters of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister Miloš Vučević.
Under pressure, the Serbian minister of construction submitted his resignation on Tuesday.
