Watch Hot Boys Stage Long-Awaited Full Reunion at Lil WeezyAna Fest

As promised, Hot Boys — the rap supergroup of Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Turk, and B.G. — reunited in full for the first time in over 15 years at Wayne’s Lil WeezyAna Festival Saturday in New Orleans.

According to the New Orleans Times-Pecayune, the reunion set lasted about 22 minutes, and featured the group’s turn-of-the-millennium hits like “Get Your Roll On,” “I Need a Hot Girl,” and “Neighborhood Superstar,” where the Hot Boys were joined by Big Tymers’ Mannie Fresh and Birdman. Each member also delved into their own catalogs, with Juvenile performing his “Back That Azz Up” and B.G. leading his “Bling Bling.”

Lil Wayne later staged his own solo set, where he reportedly once again remarked about being passed over for the New Orleans-hosted Super Bowl halftime show in favor of Kendrick Lamar. “I told myself I wanna be on stage at the Super Bowl in front of my mom and I worked my ass off to get that position and it was ripped away from me but this moment right here… they can’t take this away from me,” he told the crowd Saturday.

Since B.G. was released from prison in 2023 after serving a 12-year sentence, there had been rumors of a full Hot Boys reunion, including at this year’s Essence Fest in the group’s native New Orleans; instead, Juvenile and B.G. performed together, Lil Wayne staged his own set, and Turk didn’t attend that fest.

However, Lil Wayne confirmed the long-awaited reunion — the first time the four shared the stage since 2008 — would instead take place at his Lil WeezyAna Fest, news that resulted in a sell out of the Smoothie King Center event.

Hot Boys last released their third album Let ‘Em Burn in 2003. Juvenile said earlier this year that group was working on new music, but Lil Wayne subsequently downplayed that report. Prior to Saturday’s show, three of the Hot Boys reunited — sans B.G., who was still behind bars — at the 2016 Lil WeezyAna Fest.
